Contract Type: Permanent, 30 hours per week (4 days) 

Location: London SE1 (Hybrid) 

Salary: £35,000 – 42,000 PA 

Working Hours: 4 days per week, Monday-Thursday 30 hours per week


The Role: 

BUD seeks an experienced and resourceful changemaker to lead our social change programmes, such as our signature ‘Lead Positive Change’ programme and our ongoing ‘Community Leadership in Motion’ programme, amongst others! 

The role will oversee and lead on these programmes, helping to deliver new projects as well as guiding existing projects and measuring their impact. It will report directly to the CEO and manage a small team of project managers and facilitators.

Person Specification: 

The ideal candidate will be a natural born leader, with a depth and breadth of skills from leadership capabilities, through to strong communication and facilitation skills. They will have a strong background in technical writing for programmes, be highly competent in writing reports and have used project management tools and software in their career so far. 

Essential Requirements: 

  • Minimum 2 years’ experience in a leadership position and of managing a team (ideally in a similar role) 
  • Experience delivering training/workshops that ideally are around leadership, inclusivity, wellbeing and empowerment. 
  • A strong passion for social change/action  
  • Excellent project management and IT skills  
  • Excellent interpersonal skills – experience building client relationships 
  • Prince2 qualified or equivalent 

Key Responsibilities: 

The successful candidate will join a dynamic, fast-paced team, so aspects of the job description may change as the programmes evolve. The following list of duties is not exhaustive, and colleagues will need to support one another from time to time. 

  • Leadership of Programmes and Delivery 40%: 
  • BID writing and Relationship building 40%: 
  • Impact and Measurement 20%
